CGNJ is a mother–daughter duo where emotion meets space—and art becomes the final touch that brings it to life.
Founded in 2018 by Nour Jouayed and Céline Gammal, CGNJ was born from contrast—one perspective rooted in timeless expression, the other in modern interpretation. Together, these differences evolved into a shared visual language defined by movement, feeling, and intention.
At CGNJ, we don’t just create art—we complete spaces.
Our work is deeply emotional, shaped by calm, nostalgia, and connection. Each collection reflects a moment, a feeling, a story—expressed through abstract movement or cultural reinterpretation, always rooted in meaning.
Through thoughtful curation, we introduce artworks that align with each space—complementing the interior design and furniture palette in a way that feels effortless, cohesive, and truly belongs as the final layer.

NOUR JOUAYED
Born in Syria and raised in Canada, Nour has lived in Egypt for over 27 years. A self-taught artist, her journey with art deepened after the 2011 revolution, when painting became a form of emotional expression and healing.
Her work is known for its fluid, expressive movements—most notably in her “Sea Reunion” series, where abstract forms reflect calm, freedom, and the quiet rhythm of nature. Inspired by the Nile and the Egyptian coast, her art captures stillness, light, and repetition in a deeply timeless way.
CELINE GAMMAL
A self-taught artist and designer, Céline developed her creative foundation through her studies at GUC and hands-on industry experience. Born and raised in Cairo, her Syrian–Lebanese roots and exposure to a multicultural art scene shaped her modern and expressive approach.
Her work explores movement, identity, and cultural reinterpretation. In “Energy in Motion” and “City in Motion,” she captures rhythm, spontaneity, and the pulse of everyday life. Through her signature “Pharodoodle” series, she reimagines Egyptian heritage—transforming hieroglyphic-inspired letters into contemporary, illustrative forms that feel both rooted and refreshingly new.
